To access CAS, players will first need to enable cheats by pressing ‘Ctrl+Shift+C’ and then entering ‘testingcheats on.’ Then, they will have to type ‘cas.fulleditmode’ and select the Sim whose skin tone they want to change while pressing ‘Shift. Simmers can do this while creating a new Sim or while editing an existing one. The first step to changing a Sim's skin color is to enter Create-a-Sim mode.
Moreover, they now have access to a slider that allows them to fine-tune the lightness and darkness of each skin tone to their liking. From a warm cocoa complexion to a pale porcelain tone, players have plenty of options available to choose from. The Sims 4 offers players over 100 skin tones to pick from during character creation. Fortunately, with the introduction of a free base game update for skin tones, players can now easily change the skin color of Sims and create virtual people that are as unique as the players themselves. This tool is ONLY for skin colors that are applied in the skintone panel in CAS, NOT skintones that are applied in skin details. This tool will update them and optionally will add tanned and burned textures to older skintones. The Sims 4 initially had a limited range of skin tone options, which was frustrating for players as customization is a key facet of the game. With the December 2020 patch, CC skintones stopped appearing in the CAS skintone picker.
